Actually, it looks like vTigerCRM has exactly what I need for this
purpose. It's based on SugarCRM, and it has MS Office IE
(unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with other browsers) Office
plugins that can help to automate data exporting and inserting into
Word mail merge docs. It also has the ability to export to CSV files
if it's needed for other purposes.

It would be nice if it would work with Oo, but I guess you can't have
everything :)
