Thanks Mike.  Right now I'm reluctant to upgrade to 8.04.  I 
also use Japanese input and from the discussion group in 
Tokyo it sounds like they don't quite have this ironed out 
in Ubuntu 8.04 yet.

You were suggesting I upgrade, right?
