[NBLUG/talk] Does anyone have any hands-on experience with the Cherrypal?

I'm considering one of these instead of a normal notebook or more conventional
netbook. I realize it won't handle the same workload, but it seems that it
might allow me to continue with current notebook hardware, and use this for
email/web -- pretty much the original desingn intent of the original
netbooks -- for a very small investment.
There were some interesting comments about it on the slashdot posting (2nd
link below).
I'd be interested in opinions and input from the local linux community.
