[NBLUG/talk] mounting & permissions on samba share 2

Now I really screwed it up. As root  I:
phybernuker:~ # umount.cifs /media/marsmnt
unmount error 16 = Device or resource busy
Refer to the umount.cifs(8) manual page (man 8 umount.cifs)
phybernuker:~ # man unmount.cifs
No manual entry for unmount.cifs

Now it looks like:
phybernuker:/media # ls -l | grep marsmnt
ls: cannot access marsmnt: No such device
d????????? ? ?    ?             ?            ? marsmnt
phybernuker:/media # rm -rf ./marsmnt
rm: cannot remove `./marsmnt': No such device

I do see it there but don't remember ever seeing question marks in
place of permissions
 now root can't even remove it. Thanks in advance to anyone thinking
