You can use postfix, it has a "sendmail" binary to be compatible.

I used to send thru sonic.net with postfix.  It was easy but I don't
remember the details, I'm not a sonic customer anymore.
It appears I still have the config in my /etc/postfix/main.cf, just
commented out:

relayhost = mail.sonic.net:587

If your on their network, and have a valid "From:" address that's all
you used to need.  They have pretty good info on their website if you
rummage around.
