Thanks, Zack. Where, in Maggini, does the club meet?
The Osher Lifelong Learning (OLLI) Science club (field trips, talks on
current advances in science, sharing favorite science books) meets Tuesday
at SSU between OLLI classes in the Cooperage, from 11:45 am to about 12:45
pm. Upcoming schedule:
January 29: “The Geology and Scenery of the Point Reyes National Seashore”
(and a few other areas along the Marin/Sonoma Coast) by Richard Ely,
consulting geologist (aka the “ Geology Dude”)
February 5: “Pattern Literacy in Design & Science” by Toby Hemenway, author
of “Gaia’s Garden: A Guide to Home-Scale Permaculture”
http://patternliteracy.com
February 12: Open
February 19: “Life & Legacy of a Rebel: Lynn Margulis and symbiogenesis as
a driver of evolution” by Phil Harriman (teacher of past OLLI classes on
genetics, microbiology, and outstanding woman scientists of the last
century)
