[NBLUG/talk] Is it possible to create Virtual Drive/Partition from 2 physical drives?

I've got a 1TB drive that I'm told is failing. Well I don't have a 1TB 
drive in my system to image to it using ddrescue.
I've got an extra 750GB drive, and a 500GB installed with plenty of 
extra room.

Is there some way that I can created some kind of symbolic path using 
both drives to make up the 1TB needed for imaging the other drive to ??
