Thanks Sujit.  I would like to use LDAP.  However, I think that in 
Thunderbird, you can't add/modify entries in LDAP address books.

This is a problem for me.  I might take a look at Thunderbird's code and 
see how hard it would be to fix it.

Does anybody know if LDAP works properly in Outlook?  I think it's 
originally an MS protocol, so it probably should work.
