1.  Please boot the CD again, this time with a paper and pencil, and
accurately transcribe and then post here those many reasons.

Without any diagnostic information, any aspiring helpers are unable to
proceed because they cannot even know what problem you're encountering.

2.  Also, please provide the make and model of this computer.

(My gut instinct would be that the likeliest roadblock would be
insufficient RAM for Ubuntu 17.04's bloated desktop environment.  If the
machine doesn't have at least 2 GB of physical RAM, you need to try a
Linux distribution that's much less wasteful of hardware resources.
Even with 2GB RAM, I would expect Ubuntu 17.04 Desktop Edition with
default DE to be dog-slow.  Also bare-minimum for that distro:  2GHz
CPU, 25 GB of free disk space.)
