[NBLUG/talk] LF Energy & SCP + indoor meeting space update

Tom,

Do you know if Sonoma Clean Power uses LF Energy's work in their work?
SCP has a program called GridSavvy Rewards
(https://sonomacleanpower.org/programs/gridsavvyrewards) that monitors
energy usage and offers incentives and adjustments based on the
electrical grid's needs at the individual customer level through smart
thermostats and electric vehicle chargers. I do not know what the back
end software is that they use to do that. Possibly a contractor...?

Did you read the PD article? Have you heard of LF Energy before?

Indoor NBLUG meeting space update: I did inquire with DeepNet about
using their conference room and have not yet gotten a response. I did
get a response from SCP about using their conference facilities a while
back, but they said no, they only allow groups that are primarily
focused on climate change to use the space. I did notice that the Sonoma
County Bicycle Coalition (https://www.bikesonoma.org/) is having their
October Board of Directors meeting there...  I also emailed my contact
for Sonic (the director of IT) a second time about meeting there and I
have not heard back.

Sigh...

EEweather<https://eeweather.readthedocs.io/en/latest/> looks potentially useful, and I'd heard of the statistical approach to computing avoided energy use, but didn't realize there was an open implementation in EEmeter<http://eemeter.openee.io/>.
