<p>Using Debian Sarge.</p>

<p>When I do ./configure I get the following;</p>

<p>checking for gcc... no</p>

<p>checking for cc... no</p>

<p>configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH</p>

<p></p>

<p>I have gcc-3.3 and gcc-3.4 in /usr/bin and /usr/bin in the $PATH. </p>

<p>I reinstalled gcc using Synaptic.</p>

<p>I don't get it. I've googled but can't come up with a solution.</p>
