Thank you! I did find it, however I made a mistake in where I put the
tarball and did the install, so I would appreciate a suggestion on
where one should put the tarbar when doing an install.

Currently, it is in /home/todd...not good. And a directory,
firefox_install, was created with all of the files in it except for the
plugin files. They are in /usr/lib/mozilla.

And when I download a rpm file, should I put that into the Reh Hat rpm
directory?

Does "rpm -i myapp.n.n.n.rpm" enter the application into the rpm index?

Well, on my Debian system, the Firefox binary got installed to
'/usr/bin/mozilla-firefox', but it's easy enough to do a 'which
mozilla-firefox' to find the exact location. Or perhaps 'firefox'.

in there a desktop program slector thingy. You can set what your default
browser and terminal are. Also in firefox's option page there should
be a
setting to make firefox the default browser

Subject: [NBLUG/talk] Setting default browser
I have FC 3 installed and I downloaded Firefox and installed it. How
do I set the OS so that it is the default browser? I have the icon
for a browser, but it is attached to the initial default browser.
