<p>True, the setup when running the command from that link is not so easy. The specific syntax of the setup commands change from one distro version to another.</p>
<p>First log out of your X session. Then login on a kernel virtual terminal, stop your gdm X login manager then run the command from the link as root. Finally move the file from /root/ to /etc/X11/ while renaming it appropriately. Rebooting will ensure everything is still working OK *before* tweaking things. Be sure to keep a backup somewhere so this cumbersome process is not necessary again.</p>
