To get experience consider helping out with an open source project
or putting together your own entrepreneurial effort. I'm working on
an open source project in the vein of what I talked about in the
"Linux Business" thread. I'll post about that when it's
presentable.
To be honest, Cisco related technology can be a bit "old timey."
Not that it's not still used a lot, but Linux based routers are
taking over Cisco market share. You need to be able to do other
things, and IMO you're going to find more Cisco related stuff in
large institutional places like DC, NY/New Jersey, Chicago, and
Texas. Northern California tends to be more progressive in its use
of newer technologies like Linux and open source. Just my opinion.

Hey, I just got done with SRJC and I'm looking for
a job now in the computer field. I have my CCNA and CCNA
Security but no experience. I'm really into the computer
security side. I know it's hard to get a computer job with no
experience. I've also been looking for internships. Does anyone
on this mailing list know of any computer jobs for the entry
level guy? Thanks Alot. I hope to hear from all of you!
