<p>Ok, here's a wobbler I have on my desk. </p>
<p>We're using Active Directory for user authentication and home directories. It's not passing login shell back to Kbuntu. </p>
<p>Now when I bring up any terminal under KDE they use the default default of /bin/sh, which is antiquated in most students estimation. I'm trying to find a way to set the default default to /bin/bash.</p>
<p>chsh will not work as the users have no entry in /etc/passwd to modify.</p>
<p>I've been trying stuf in .profile but that doesn't seem to work at all. </p>
