I have very similar issues when trying to view video via flash
interfaces. Sometimes it will sound like a skipping cd. My issue is
only resolved when I restart alsasound. At that point all flash
interfaces look blank then refresh Firefox and it all works again. I'm
running openSuSE. I wish I could say I knew of a fix. I not really
sure how to check my version of alsa or to verify this is the actual
