Mandrake status?

I use&am registered with Mandrake.  I get these announcements of their 
business plan - selling stock, and comparisons with United. Are they stable 
or are they falling apart? (which happened in the past, I gather).
I see they now have a PowerPC version: I have looked into Yellowdog, not sure 
that I feel safe with it(YD). Opinions?
I see that ebay has a lot of offers of Mandrake and also Suse, etc., at very 
low prices for apparently new 3-CD's.  Another reason for wondering about 
their business stability.
