Hrm... the _prompt_ isn't active?  That sounds like Gnome-Term can't find
your chosen shell.  (But Konsole can... interesting)

No idea WHY this is happening, but it's starting to make more sense.
(It's really not that the keyboard isn't working for gnome-term, it's just
that there's nothing (no shell, apparently) running UNDER it to echo anything
you type back)


WHen you run Konsole, type:

  echo $SHELL


Then, do the same from a (working) gnome-terminal


Any difference?
