I can think of a few other things that you could run on those Macs if you 
put Apple X11 or XDarwin on them:

The GIMP	(Image editor)
KStars		(Start chart)
KTouch		(Touch-typing tutor)
POV-Ray		(3D graphics)

Perhaps someone at your school would be interested in them.
