If both machines are using IMAP you can use a nice little tool called
"offlineimap" to sync between the two machines. You can find it here:

http://gopher.quux.org:70/devel/offlineimap/

Note that it is also apt-gettable if you are using Debian.

I've used this tool on my laptop to sync up with my IMAP server so that I
can keep a local copy of certain maildirs for reference when I don't have a
net connection. While normally it is used to sync from a remote IMAP
server to a local maildir, it also supports syncing from one IMAP server to
another IMAP server directly.
