If it is just one bad package:
Comment out the cdrom in /etc/apt/sources.list,
do an apt-get update,
do a "apt-get install packagename" to get just that package off the network,
uncomment the cdrom in /etc/apt/sources.list,
do an apt-get update.

I only make CD#1 myself, then everything else comes off the net, but I
have DSL.
