I've had a little experience with the wlan stuff, but not with PC cards 
or cardmgr.  The insmod is failing with an unresolved symbol.  This is 
probably due to one of two reasons:

You're rebuilt your kernel without the proper hooks for that module.

There's a dependent module that isn't getting loaded first (modprobe 
will automatically trigger dependent module loading, but I don't think 
insmod does.)

I can't think clearly enough to give a good solution though.. other 
that you may need to rebuild your kernel with wlan support enabled.
