Usually when I call in for clients of mine I run into the same
situation. Although I seem to recall the clients having to provide more
info than just a simple, he's ok.

Keep in mind Sonic is one of the only ISPs offering bridged DSL. No
PPPOE. That itself is worth a few tech support headaches. Since if you
ever do use PPPOE it alone will give you trouble and possible make you
contact support more often. Not that PPPOE is unreliable, it's just a
pain.

Their tech support is good, but the services they provide are among the
best out there.
Just think of it this way, if Sonic is bad, the others are worse. So
pick your evil, bad or worse. ;)
