Oh yeah! :^) LUGOD helped put together a Linux-based web browsing
kiosk. That's all it does, is provide a web browser.
Another fellow (not yet too involved with LUGOD, but getting there)
put one together as well.
One system is running Debian with KDE 3.1 and the Konqueror browser.
(For those who don't know, this is what Apple based their new 'Safari'
browser for OS X on.)
The other runs Slackware, Fluxbox (I think?) and Mozilla.
(Mozilla is, of course, the Open Source browser based on Netscape,
on which Netscape is now based ;^) ... Think OpenOffice.org vs. StarOffice)
The Konq. system is running at a newspaper & magazine place in Davis called
Newsbeat. The Mozilla system is running at the Davis Food Co-Op
(a grocery store).
