Hey, you might want to add another "Oh yeah!"...
Use of Linux at installfests to act as a NAT/IP Masquerading box for
hosts, handing out IP Addresses with DHCP, and provision of network based
copies of files for installs (RedHat/Debian) like I hear you LUGOD-ers
have done for your installfests. ;-)
(Kind of along the lines of using Linux boxes to help build other Linux
boxes.... Did you know Jobs did that with his NeXT boxes way back when?
Yep, NeXT boxes were used to control assembly lines to build other NeXT
boxes.)
And another "Oh yeah" ?
A station/arcade for kids (little ones and the older, adult variety of
kids) who might use a nifty paint program that plays sounds while you
paint.
