Amanda comes with RedHat. I believe a support contract with RedHat would
cover Amanda, as well. If you went the "enterprise" route, you may already
be covered for support...
You'd be talking something like $2500/yr/machine to get a 1hr phone SLA from
RedHat, though... http://www.redhat.com/software/rhel/purchase/. Down to
$800-$1500 territory for a 4hr SLA. Support services are RedHat's bread and
butter and I'll bet if you call their sales department they can discuss all
sorts of deals.
(you said you want commercial/supported for critical services, so I'm kinda
assuming RH. Other major Linux vendors have similar offerings)
I think Legato and Tivoli are the other big names in backups that you might
want to look at, too.
