hmmm...

An update:  If I turn off my firewall, I can ping the router's default
IP address (1921.168.1.1).  Unfortunately, I can not bring up the
router's web-based configuration page at that address.

I'm now assuming I must tweak my firewall in order to access the
router's config page?  I will experiment later this evening...

Any clues in the meantime, are more than welcome!
