Sorry to jump into the fray, but there is something I'd like to point out when using FB, or when finding you need to use it to engage others.  Misinformation.  Probably the one thing you have complete control over.  But not the way you think.

Consider this:  how good is FB's (or any company's) data about you (the primary thing it shares/sells/gets hacked for) if 'x' percent of it is complete misinformation, provided by you?  Say you need to use FB 'y' percent of the time to communicate with groups, or advertise your stuff.  Spend the 'x' percent posting about how much you like Yak milk, or Zubaz pants, or the teachings of Karl Marx.  Lie.  Fabricate.  Make the majority of your data totally useless, or at least so confusing no one knows what the heck is going on.

Anyway, that's what I do when I worry about that kinda thing.
