That's great! LUGOD, out here in Davis, used to occasionally hold
hands-on Linux demos at the local Borders. Unfortunately, while the
people who were involved at the time were very nice about letting us do it,
the events usually sucked, compared to our demos at the Davis Food Co-Op
grocery store! (Noone seemed to care that we were there, at Borders...
at the Co-Op, we're in the little 'demo kitchen', very obvious, and
definitely an oddity... so people look ;^) )

Anyway... these days, last I heard, Borders won't even let us PUT UP FLYERS
on their gigantic bulletin board. Apparently, unless it has to do with
literature, OR is just some generic UC Davis event, they don't post it
any more! >:^(

It really burns me that because we bothered being our own 501(c)X non-profit,
and flourish without the help of the university (heck, I believe we're
flourishing BECAUSE we're not a UCD organization), we suddenly can't
advertise at the local monopobookstore.

Grr :^(

Anyway, sorry, venting :)
