Alright, under the "Network" dialog I currently have installed:
Client for Microsoft Networks
Dial-Up Adapter
Intel(R) PRO/100 VM Network Connection
TCP/IP -> Dial-Up Adapter
"Primary Network Logon" is "Client for Microsoft Networks".
Earlier when I changed some settings I started getting a dialog asking
for a name and password on boot, but now it's mysteriously gone away
again. :-P
On the desktop, I click "Network Neighborhood" and "Entire Network". I
am then greeted with:
Unable to browse the network.
The network is not accessible.
For more information, look in the Help Index
at the topic 'Network Troubleshooter'.
Of course, I can't even find that topic in help. :-)
The machine is in workgroup "WORKGROUP". My dad is conquering the
world on the XP machine right now, so I can't check what workgroup it
is in. ;-)
Anyway, thanks for bearing with me. I'm finally getting to the point
where I actually know how do to things under Linux that I don't know
how to do under Windows! :-D
