It used to be that to run UNIX you needed a room full of computer and guys in white lab coats to manage it. Then, along came Linus Torvalds who wrote Linux, a UNIX-like os for his 386. He open sourced it and it was off to the races. Now Linux (and other UNIX-like OSes) run on all kinds of hardware; from super computers to your phone or even smaller systems. Some are even designed to fit in an Altoids tin. This talk will go over some of your options for running Linux on SBCs (single board computers), why you might want to do so, and how to get started.
